Mind

When practicing self-care, it’s important to remember taking care of yourself goes beyond products. One of the best ways to rejuvenate your mind while social distancing is through practicing mindfulness and gratitude on a daily basis. This begins with staying connected, reaching out and connecting virtually with loved ones. Use this time to even reach out to someone you might not have spoken to in a long time, giving your mind something new to enjoy.

If you want to enjoy your alone time quietly, consider practices like yoga, meditation, journaling, and drawing. Taking the time to simply do peaceful activities that require little thought or effort gives your mind a chance to rest and recharge, which is well-deserved.

Hair

Don’t lie, working from home gives you the perfect excuse to live in a messy bun with day-three hair. While skipping a few washes is always good for your hair, it’s important to maintain a routine and personal hygiene. Take this time to indulge in your hair care routine, doing a little bit more than the basic shampooing and conditioning.

If you often use various styling products, consider using a scalp scrub during this time to give your scalp a rejuvenating reset. After you wash (or before, depending on your preference), give yourself a deep-conditioning treatment. Sure, a quick five to ten-minute hair mask will do the trick, but why not let it really sit and soak? Hop out of the shower, apply your hair mask, and take about half an hour to do another self-care activity.

Once out of the shower, seal in your treatments with a hair serum and/or hair oil. You’ll be left with silky, soft, strengthened hair in no time.

Skin

No excuse to skip out on your skincare routine now! Use this time at home to try every face mask you’ve been pushing to the back of your beauty drawer. If you feel like you’re looking a little dull, curate a skincare routine using several vitamin C-based products to give your skin a brightening boost. Take the time to exfoliate your body with your favorite scrub and lather up in your most hydrating lotion.

Even if you’re just at home, don’t forget to apply SPF regularly, too. UV rays can still penetrate windows, making you susceptible to sun damage. Taking care of your skin is crucial while at home, so turn this time into a chance to fully pamper yourself.

Body

Staying at home shouldn’t mean staying still. Rejuvenate your body by pushing it to be active, rather than staying in bed or at your desk all day. For simple ways to stay active, find at-home workout or yoga videos on social media and find a space in your home to do them. Staying active is a great way to keep your mind and body healthy, giving you a natural pick-me-up.

Also, as long as you practice social distancing, getting out and enjoying nature is always a great way to rejuvenate your body. Go for a walk, run, hike, or bike ride in your area to stay happy and healthy.

During this time, it’s crucial to take care of yourself head to toe. Follow these practices to rejuvenate your soul and body, becoming the best you that you can be.
